She can extend at-bats with foul balls, work deep counts and make pitchers earn every out. At first base, she is extremely dependable. Very little gets through her, and she handles short hops with the hands and confidence you would expect from a middle infielder.

In the circle, Aniesa succeeds with spin, location and consistency. She controls the ball well and rarely has what I would consider a truly bad outing. She has produced a lot of efficient innings by creating routine ground balls and popups rather than needing to overpower hitters.”
